The S.A.F.E. Movement; Shifting Attitudes For Equality, is a cause that aims to promote diversity and equality for all.
This is achieved by speaking up against inappropriate comments and behavior that are considered discriminatory; either directed to you or that you witness happening to others.
Reason: By simply standing up for oneself and others, we have a deeper impact than passively ignoring comments or harassment that happen daily.
Cause and effect: As people are told their comments/behavior are not accepted, they will begin to understand the negative impact they create and will put an end to their bad habits.
BECOME A S.A.F.E. ADVOCATE
It just takes 3 steps
1. CREATE A 10-SEC VIDEO
Create a 10-second video with a message saying you are joining the #SAFEMovement
2. TAG 5 PEOPLE
Nominate 5 people to join the cause as well
3. POST & SHARE
Post the video on your social media networks
& tag the 5 people
